Elope.

In the earliest sense of the word, elope meant to “escape” or “flee.” Since the beginning of the 17th century, the meaning was known as “to run away with a romantic interest,” often to marry without parental consent. Many times, it was sudden and secret. To elope in today’s day and age, is considered to have a small wedding, often a destination wedding.

Big Sky, Montana is aptly named. The towering mountains and endless skylines give you feelings of both wonder and grandeur. The beauty is breathtaking. And no matter what the season, there’s no denying this kind of scenery is romantic. Seriously romantic.

For those who prefer an intimate wedding, eloping to the mountains is the perfect setting to start the next chapter. If this fits your idea of the ultimate wedding, Rainbow Ranch offers an incredible elopement package. Imagine, no hassle, no drama, no entertaining. Just you and your love tucked away in the mountains, with a ready-made honeymoon just out the back door.

The Ranch has many special spots to say, “I do.” Next to the river, on the covered back deck or next to the river rock fireplace in the lodge are all beautiful locales: quiet, intimate and gorgeous.

Most of our rooms have fireplaces, perfect for relaxing with a glass of champagne, or your favorite hand-crafted cocktail. Or maybe you’d like to unwind in the hot tub next to an outdoor fireplace; that’s the beauty of eloping, you get to do whatever suites you, whenever it suits you!

Elopement packages are offered
for Monday-Thursday dates only.

As for the details, this base package includes one night at the lodge, use of our ceremony space, the bridal cabin for getting ready, and use of our private wine cellar for dinner up to 15 guests (Food & Beverage minimums apply).

Now, let’s talk honeymoon. The mountains surrounding Big Sky are a playground like no other. Skiing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing are winter favorites, and in the summer, zip lining, fishing, mountain biking, hiking and golfing all take center stage. Not to mention Yellowstone National Park, which is just 45 minutes down the road. In other words, we suggest you stay and explore. For those who love music and theater, watch the schedule at the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center, the talent they bring in is top notch as well as music in the mountains on Thursdays in the summer.

Sound Dreamy? We think so.

Our packages are completely customizable and for that reason we encourage you to reach out to our events department at (406) 414-6440 or info@rainbowranchbigsky.com
